But the Lord God called to the man and said to him, "Where are you?" And he said, "I heard the sound of you in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked, and I hid myself." Genesis 3:9-10
Have you ever seen a child who gets “caught with their hand in the cookie jar”? They tend to back away, eyes down, and try to hide from you. In the same way, we’ve done things in our lives where we feel like we need to back away from God and try to hide – it could have been a lie we’ve told, bitterness we’ve held, or a lustful thought that we’ve had. We have all sinned and God is reached out to you and asked you to return to him no matter what you have done. So when you sin you have the choice to either back away from God, or to run to him because he is the only one who can free you from your sin.

Do you have a tendency to run away from God when you sin or to run to God?
